April 24, 2022 @ 2:00 pm - 3:30 pm

Free

Sunday, April 24, 2022 at 2pm at Saint Paul’s Mission Church (414 Ridge Street, Mineral Point)- Pioneer, Priest, and City Planner

Join us in Mineral Point’s oldest Church building, St. Paul’s Mission Church, to learn more about the man responsible for founding several Southwest Wisconsin towns, laying out cities, setting up city and county government, and ministering to early settlers of all faiths in the Tri-state area. Fr. Samuel Mazzuchelli, OP, is his name! He was the first Catholic priest in Mineral Point in the 1830’s, founding St. Paul’s Parish. Sr. Priscilla Wood, OP, from Sinsinawa Mound (order of Catholic nuns founded by Fr. Mazzuchelli) will be on hand to present this engaging lyceum.
