MANY HANDS MAKE LIGHT WORK!

We have many volunteer opportunities within the Mineral Point Historical Society and around our 9 acre estate in a variety of capacities to suit any interest or skill.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

Our House and Grounds Committee is alway looking for handy individuals to help with minor repairs and special projects. We are always in need of “Garden Angels” to help keep our gardens, grounds, and trees looking their best for our many visitors and guests.

Our Programming & Events Committee plans Lyceums, Community Events, & our annual Holiday events. They also manage the Marketing & PR components of these events. Enjoy planning and setting up for events? Is graphic design your skill? We would love to have an extra hand at promoting our events thru social media. If any of these interest you? We have a volunteer opportunity for you.

Our Collections Committee is hard at work documenting artifacts in the house as well as planning exhibits. Are your skills in collection accession? We could use an extra hand in organizing our collection.

Our Membership and Newsletter Committee are now receiving membership dues and could use an extra hand writing notes thanking our members for their support. Is story writing your strength? We are always searching for content to share in our newsletters.

Become a Volunteer Today!

There are other opportunities besides the few listed above. If you would like to join us in our mission of pre- serving Mineral Point’s unique history for generations to come then reach out to a Mineral Point Historical Society Board Member, email mineralpointhistory@gmail.com.

"I was caught off-guard at a dinner the other night when the Mineral Point Historical Society board of directors announced that they were naming an exhibit room at Orchard Lawn after me. Imagine me, speechless. I'm honored and grateful for all the terrific people I've worked with over the last 21 years."
